Founded in 1998 by Miles and Dianna McMahon, Theatre of the Imagination has become Kansas City's leading on-site children's arts provider. Through our partnership with Gorilla Theatre we have successfully written, produced, directed and staged over 600 children's theatrical productions.

Our programs instill both a love & an appreciation for the arts. Our classes encourage creativity, build self-esteem and improve communication skills. We promote individual growth and group co-operation in a creative and fun environment.

Our staff consists of many local actors and theater artisans. Director Miles McMahon holds a B.S. in Theater from Western Michigan University and a M.F.A. in Theater from U.M.K.C. He has been a working professional actor for over 15 years, both on stage and television. Credits include the Missouri Rep., Unicorn Theatre, Coterie Theatre and Heart of America-Shakespeare Festival.
